Captive Birds of Prey in the UK!

A collection of falcons, hawks, eagles and owls protected in Birds of Prey Centres around the UK. Birds that would not otherwise survive if they are set free.

Birds of Prey Bio!

These majestic birds are at the top of the food chain and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems. They feed on a variety of prey, including mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and insects, and have adapted to different habitats, from deserts to forests to wetlands.

Some of the most well-known birds of prey include eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and vultures. Each species has unique characteristics that make them suited to their specific environment and prey.

Today, many people admire these birds for their beauty and grace, and work to protect them from threats such as habitat loss, pollution, and hunting.

Lets hope that it remains that way, because although bird sanctuaries are helping these birds, it’s not their natural habitat!

Conservation efforts to protect these magnificent birds are ongoing, and it is important for individuals and communities to support these efforts through education, habitat restoration, and responsible environmental practices. By working together, we can ensure the survival of birds of prey for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.
