THE MEXICAN RIVIERA
Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico is where I have lived for over 19 years, and is deemed the best Mexican Caribbean Vacation Destination.
For many who have never considered holidaying / vacationing in Mexico, this is an absolutely amazing location to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sea, white sandy beaches and amazing Mexican hospitality.
No matter if you enjoy All Inclusive Resorts, Boutique Hotels, Hostels or Vacation Homes, there are thousands of different options available to suit everybody´s taste.
For the majority of my working life in Mexico I was fortunate to visit almost all of the All Inclusive Resorts along the Riviera Maya coastline, each one of them offering a different experience. Some resorts with 3 or 4 different hotels within the same complex.
For 6 years I worked for the Grand Sirenis Spa & Resort located south of Playa del Carmen near Akumal (the best snorkeling location in Riviera Maya). It also where I made many friends from the USA, Canada, UK & Europe whilst working in the Vacation Club associated with the resort.
It is also after making my transition from Tourism Marketing to Sales, and eventually embarking on another move South to Panama to become a Members Executive for the same club.
It is this work that has been detrimental to my success in the Travel & Tourism industry, and the drive to provide exceptional Customer Service when attending to clients travel needs & requirements.

Things to Do In Mexico
No matter what you are looking to do on your holiday / vacation in Mexico! There is something for everybody to have fun and enjoy.
Fifth Avenue is the hub of the tourist area in Playa Del Carmen, with
hundreds of shops, bars, and restaurants stretching the full length of this pedestrianised
boulevard.
There are also a number of Boutique Hotels & Condo’s located in close proximity to 5th
Avenue, and many more in the final stages of development. You will find almost anything
you require along 5th Avenue, from local souvenirs, tequila, designer sunglasses, duty
free, to the more upmarket designer shops & stores.
The main hotel zone of Playa del Carmen is located in the residential zone of Playacar. The first hotel was established in 1979, and is now home to most of the major hotel chains.
In the hotel zone are six Riu Hotels, Iberostar, Sandos, Wyndham,
Royal Hideaway (Adults Only), & The Reef Playacar All Inclusive Resorts.
Intersecting the residential zone is the Playacar Golf Course, with well manicured and maintained 18 holes. Also, an abundance of wildlife can be observed whilst you are enjoying your round.

Cozumel is the largest Caribbean Island of Mexico and located East of Playa Del Carmen (40 minutes by ferry). The island is approximately 30 miles long and 10 miles wide. The capital is called “San Miguel”, and also the main ferry terminal to main land is located in the centre of the town. Just to the South is the main Cruise Liner Port!

For holiday makers & vacationers Cozumel provides relaxation, exploration, adventure, and peace & tranquillity, plus a little bit of fun thrown in for good measure! The island boasts a few large All Inclusive Resorts just south of San Miguel, many beachfront rustic villas, bungalows, and a few small hotels, plus the Cozumel International Airport just north of the island.
Riviera Maya - Going South!
Riviera Maya covers the East Coast of the Yucatan Peninsula from Cancun all the way
region of Mexico, and continue to live the way they have lived for centuries. Small villages
hidden deep in the Mayan jungle provide self sustainability to their small communities!
Local Maya’s consider underground “cenotes” as their “Passage to the Underworld”, and many of the cenotes have spiritual qualities!

Divers from all over the world have found a fascination of diving these amazing tunnels, and many Mayan bones and offerings have been found deep inside some of these “natural wells”. If you would like a chance to “purify your body, mind & soul”, and no visit to the Riviera Maya would be complete without a swim in a local cenote!!
The Mayan Riviera really does offer everything in a holiday! If it’s relaxation, peace & tranquility, fun & excitement, or adventure then you will not be disappointed to what this beautiful region of Mexico can offer?
Local organised tours & excursions can provide an insight into Mayan History & Culture, plus many fun filled activities can be found in Playa Del Carmen, Puerto Aventura & Tulum.
